About Christian Fellowship Church

Our Mission

Our Mission is to Know God and Make Him Known. We believe in the first and Greatest Commandment, “ Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all they soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37. We believe the Church will not grow beyond its ability to care for its people. The second great Commandment is like unto the first, “ Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self” Matthew 22:39.

We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian Love, to watch over one another in Christian Love, and to remember each other in prayer. We seek to grow God’s Kingdom by caring for those who are lost and hurting. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself in spotted from the world”, James 1:27 Jesus said these words in the Gospel of Matthew: For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me Matthew 25: 35-36. And the King shall answer and say unto them, verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25: 40.

Core Beliefs and Values

Our mission is centered on knowing God and making Him known. Our belief is rooted in the first and greatest commandment that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 22:37: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." We are committed to living out this commandment, recognizing that the church's growth is intrinsically tied to its ability to genuinely care for its people. The second great commandment, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself," as stated in Matthew 22:39, amplifies our mission. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we aim to walk together in Christian love, watch over one another, and faithfully remember each other in prayer. Our purpose extends beyond our own community, as we actively seek to care for those who are lost and hurting, striving to grow God's Kingdom.

In aligning our mission with the teachings of Jesus, we find guidance in James 1:27, where we are reminded that true religion is characterized by visiting the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and keeping oneself unstained from the world. These acts of compassion and purity reflect the heart of Christ. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus expressed how caring for others is tantamount to caring for Him. He shared examples of providing food to the hungry, drink to the thirsty, shelter to the stranger, clothing to the naked, and visiting the sick and imprisoned (Matthew 25:35-36). Jesus emphasized that our actions toward the least among us are received as if done unto Him directly (Matthew 25:40).

In summary, our mission revolves around a deepening relationship with God and making Him known to others. We hold fast to the commandments Jesus taught about loving God and loving our neighbors. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we extend our care beyond our community, striving to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those who are hurting. In doing so, we fulfill the call to walk together in Christian love, support one another, and remember each other in prayer. Ultimately, our aim is to bring glory to God and grow His Kingdom through acts of compassion and selflessness.
